Independent Composites now produce a range of blocks designed with the requirements of Sail makers in mind.

The blocks are engineered and designed to be used as free running clew blocks, for in mast furling and as reef blocks for conventional slab reefing on high performance cruising and racing yachts, where both weight and sail fatigue are an issue.

Carbon Fibre cheek plates, combined with EN57 stainless pins reduce weight significantly and ensure each block is as slim line and as lightweight as possible

The hollowing of each pin provides an additional securement point for reef blocks onto the leech of the sail preventing the block from flogging against the leech during hoisting/ reefing procedures.
